Kosana Beker holds PhD at the Center for Gender studies of The Association of Centers for Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Studies and Research at the University of Novi Sad, Beker completed her masters degree in gender studies at UN mandated University for Peace, Costa Rica, and she got her BA degree at the Law Faculty at the University of Belgrade where she passed Bar Exam.
Her fields of interest are human rights and antidiscrimination, and her specialties are women, children and people with disabilities rights. She is author of numerous working papers, publications, research in the file of anti-discriminatory law and human rights of marginalized groups.
She works at the Assistant to Commissioner for the Protection of Equality of the Republic Serbia. Since 2013 she has been member of the Executive Board of Equinet - the European Network of Equality Bodies.
