Center for Social Research Analitika, starting from December 2013, is working on the implementation of the project "Strengthening the Communication Capacity of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption of Bosnia and Herzegovina".
The project is funded by the British Government and it is implemented in collaboration with the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption of Bosnia and Herzegovina (APIK).
The aim of the project is strengthening the capacity of the APIK in the area of internal and external communications, as well as in the domain of implementing public awareness campaigns. In accordance with its mandate, APIK should play a central role in coordination of the activities of the key institutions in charge of preventing and combating corruption in Bosnia and Herzegovina. To fulfill its mission, the Agency needs the capacity to conduct public awareness campaigns, public support for anti-corruption reforms as well as mechanisms for cooperation with the relevant government agencies and entities, civil society organizations and other stakeholders. Accordingly, successful performance in the field of prevention and coordination of the fight against corruption directly depends on the communication capacities of the APIK.
Within the project, the focus will be placed on the number of key activities:
- Assessment of communication practices and procedures of the APIK for the better understanding of the current activities and capabilities in the area of strategic communications and defining realistic goals for the development of communication functions of the agency;
- Identification of the best practices in the field of strategic communication of agencies and similar bodies in charge of combating corruption in the EU and the OECD countries, which will serve as guidelines for the development of communication policies and plans of the APIK;
- Development of appropriate communication strategy , regulations , protocols and guidelines as well as effective mechanisms for APIK's communication with state institutions , civil society organizations , media and the general public;
- Staff training and strengthening the APIK's capacities for the implementation of activities defined by strategic communication plan.
The project lasts from December 2013 until March 2015.
