This paper investigates if and how the media system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia and Albania was influenced by the two decades of international media assistance programs. The paper is a part of the comparative research project that studies the results of, and the challenges to the international media assistance efforts in the Western Balkan countries.
