Emina Ćerimović
Bio
Emina Ćerimović is currently working as Advocacy Fellow at Human Rights Watch, New York. She worked as a junior researcher at Analitika. She earned an LLM degree with Merits in Human Rights with a Specialisation in European Union Law at the Department for Legal Studies at Central European University, Budapest, Hungary (with a scholarship of Central European University). She earned a degree with distinction for her LLM thesis “To Prevent and To Punish: Genocidal Intent”. She graduated law from the University in Sarajevo, during which time at her final year she did an internship with the Cantonal Prosecutor Office Sarajevo. In 2008, she did a traineeship at the Secretariat of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in 2009 a traineeship at the State Prosecutor’s office. From 2010 till 2012, she worked as a Rule of Law Monitor with the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Judicial and Legal Reform Section. In 2011, she was awarded the Development Fellowship Program by the Open Society Fund BiH and in 2012 Think Tank Development Young Professional Fellowship by the Open Society Institute. She worked on a number of research studies and has published several works in the field of criminal law and international human rights.
