Aida Kalender is Program Director of the independent NGO Akcija. Currently she holds the position as head of Desk for Creative Europe  BiH (kreativnaevropa.ba). She is responsible for the program development of the NGO and conceptualized and led a civic campaign "I'm a Museum" (jasam.zemaljskimuzej.ba) which resulted in opening of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina after three years. The campaign was marked by many analysts as the greatest success of civil society in BiH after the war, and was awarded with the prestigious award of the European Commission for Cultural Heritage Europe Nostra. Additionally, she was one of the founders of the Futura music festival and is a long-term associate of Mediacentar Sarajevo, where she was editor in chief of Mediacentar Online web portal (www.media.ba). Aida holds Master degree in Arts and Media Management from the Utrecht School of Arts, Netherlads, and a Master degree in European Cultural Policy from the University of Warwick, UK.
